The advantage is the immediacy of the process, as instant cash is paid once the price has been agreed. Cash Converters takes in household products such as TV’s, Hi-Fi, Electrical Appliances, Computers, Jewelry, Sporting Goods, Musical Instruments etc. Items such as Clothing, Books and Magazines, Bulky Furniture and Large Electronics such as Refrigerators and Washing Machines are usually not traded. All goods that the public sell to Cash Converters must be in working condition and have a resale value.
How long has been Cash Converter been around ?
The franchise operations have been around for more than 20 years. It began in 1984 as a single store retail operation in Perth, Western Australia. Cash Converters currently has over 530 stores in 24 countries across the globe. The 1st store in Asia opened in Singapore in 1999. There are 7 stores in Singapore.
Why sell second-hand goods?
It is a fun and enjoyable experience to get rid of your unwanted goods in a friendly environment. Your unwanted goods are recycled and you get instant cash through the process.
Do you buy brand new items as well?
Yes, we do. New items like gifts from housewarming, birthday present etc.

What are the items that cash converters do not accept?
We do not buy clothing, books, magazines or large items such as furniture, washing machines and refrigerators.

Yes, we will pay you cash on the spot once the price has been agreed upon.
Why do I need to produce IC/Workpass/Passport when I sell?
This is to comply with the Secondhand Dealers Act. As it is required by Law, customers must produce their photo ID such as IC (Singaporeans) or passport (Foreigners) for the transaction. Customers must be above 18 years old to sell their items.
How to sell my items to Cash Converters?
Customers can bring the items that they want to sell to any of our conveniently located stores, where the selling price will be discussed/negotiated. As there are so many products in the market, we need to look at the product in its actual state to give a fair price estimate. It is our company policy not to provide “over the phone” price estimates. To avoid disappointment, please ensure that all electrical items are in working condition. This can be done by testing the product before bringing it down to our stores.
Why your company can’t provide price estimation of the item over the phone?
As there are so many products in the market, we need to look at the product in its actual state to give a fair price estimate.
How do I transport my bulky electronic items (eg. 42-inch LCD TV, home theater system) to Cash Converters?
If you are moving, leaving the country, or doing major cleanup of your storeroom and have many items to sell, you can email/ fax us the list of items. Our representative will contact you within 3 working days to discuss pricing and/or make the necessary house call arrangements.

How to make a payment on our website

No. You do not need a paypal account to make payment to us. You may wish to choose a "guest checkout" to make payment without creating or having a need to have a paypal account.

How to check out without a paypal account
1. Shop and add to cart the items you would like to purchase. 2. Click on the cart button on top of the website. 3. Click on check out after checking the items added to cart. 4. Enter your required details. 5. Click on Continue to shipping methods. 6. Select shipping methods. 7. Website will redirect you to paypal payment page. Scroll down to choose not to create a paypal account. 8. Make your payment.
How long will it take for delivery?
It will usually take about 3 - 5 working days for us to process your orders. Depending on the courier partners that is being used to ship out your order, it may take 2 - 5 working days for your parcel to reach you after your order have been processed. Once your item have been shipped out you may check on the various courier partners website we have to track your parcel.

Received an incorrect/missing/defective item in your order?
If you have received an incorrect/ missing / defective product, please email our customer service support at firstname.lastname@example.org and let the representative know the details of your order. They will then assist you further. Please allow at least 3 - 7 working days for us to response back to you.
Is there any warranty for your products that are sold online?
For most of the electronic goods that we sell on our website, we provide a 30 days in house warranty. We will issue a refund back to you if the item you have purchased is defective. Warranty date will start on the day you make a purchase for the item.
Who pays the shipping cost on returns?
For defective / incorrect / missing item that has been delivered to you, shipping cost will be charged to us, the merchant. We do not accept returns for products which are not broken or delivered incorrectly
